Summer Triathlon Camp 2024

This will be a great mid-late season camp for those who need a little change of scenery and a boost to your motivation heading into the last races of the year!

This camp is aimed at growing your aerobic capacity on the bike, while working on improving your efficiency on the swim and run. We will be doing a good volume of cycling, so please come to camp prepared to ride a lot! We will document some key improvements you can make to enhance your abilities. This will be a great mid-late season camp for those who need a little change of scenery and a boost to your motivation heading into the last races of the year!

What is Included

  • Meals
    • All Breakfasts and Lunches are included.  Athletes are encouraged to explore what Boulder and the surrounding area has to offer for dinners!  Breakfasts: Muffins, Fruit, oatmeal
  • Seminars
    • We will go over some of the most important information you need as an athlete to continue improving
  • Training Nutrition 
    • First endurance products
  • Swim form analysis 
    • You will receive your video and feedback in a file after camp
  • Bike Fitting appointments
    • There will be 2 available appointments for fittings each night. 
  • Coached training sessions 
    • You will have Branden Scheel Racing staff at every session watching your form, helping improve your technique and efficiency
  • TONS of swag!
    • Last camp some athletes left with close to $700 of gear! 
  • Custom Camp Tee 
    • Exclusive shirt for those at camp!

    • We will have a blast with new friends swimming riding and running! 

Optional Add-ons

  • Accommodations
    • Athletes who do not want the hassle of booking accommodations will have the option to stay at a team house. The house will be in Longmont, around a 20 min drive from the race in boulder. Most of the runs and rides will also take off from Longmont, within 20 min of the house. The house will have rooms where if we only have double occupancy, athletes may need to share a bed. These spots are first-come first-served. Select double occupancy if you want to bunk with a teammate, single occupancy if you want a room to yourself! 
    • This house will be booked from the afternoon of the 15th until the morning of the 21st to allow athletes to arrive early and leave the morning after camp is complete
  • Dinner on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday
    •  You MUST opt in for these on your application to camp, if you do not we will not have food for you these nights. 

Not Included

  • Airfare/Transportation 
    • Fly in to Denver International, we can help with arrangements. Personal transportation is not included. Please have some means to get to the pool and workout start points (athletes typically split a rental car) and make sure the car has room for bikes! 
  • Dinners on Thursday and Friday
    • Go out and explore the amazing food Boulder has to offer.
​​​​**If you do not opt in to the included dinners, all dinners will be on your own.**
  • Rental bikes
    • Please bring your own bike if possible! You will have far less issues than tracking down a rental bike, and most airlines do not charge extra for a bike anymore. If you need a rental please let Branden know in advance. He will work out a deal with Johnstown Scheels All Sports.  
  • Snacks
    • Lots of people crave lots of things after workouts! Stop by a supermarket and make sure you have what you need for in between workouts and late night munchies!

Branden Scheel Racing Squad Members

Already on the team? You have it easy! Head to the link on this page to apply for camp. Fill it out, and BOOM. You get to come grow as an athlete with all your best friends! 

Not on the Squad but you want to be part of our team?  Athletes can apply for the Branden Scheel Racing Squad. We don't care if you are on another team, coached by other coaches, etc. The application is available HERE. Once approved, athletes will need to pay the $150 membership fee. Upon approval athletes can access the discounted cost of camp. 

**Please apply for the Squad prior to signing up for camp if you are going this route.**


Athletes who are affiliated with other clubs, teams, coaches, etc are always welcome to join our racing Squad! However, if you do not want to join our racing team, we have an option for you too! This rate will include the same camp experience as the members, plus a Branden Scheel Racing cycling jersey! Come train and hang out with us and reignite that motivation for you fall races! You will walk away from this camp with new information, a new level of fitness, and lots of new friends!

No Accommodations - $750

Double Occupancy (One Bed) - $1100 

Single occupancy - $1300

Refund policy:

If you wish to withdraw your entry, you must notify us by phone call and email. A lot of thought and consideration goes into this policy. As athletes we do understand injury and life circumstances can impact your ability to attend camp. However, the costs of the event do not subside or change significantly with a withdrawal. 

We do appreciate your understanding, look forward to your participation in the event, and hope that you give the same thoughtful consideration of the event before signing up.

100+ Days out - 70% refund or 100% transfer to next team camp

50 days out - 50% refund or 70% transfer to next team camp

Under 50 days out - NO refund, or 30% transfer to the next team camp, unless your spot gets filled. If we are able to fill your spot before camp begins, we will give you 50% refund or 70% transfer to next team camp. 


After booking, you have 48 hours to change, cancel, or alter your reservation for any reason. After the 48 hour window, if you should choose to change your camp accommodations for a lower priced option, you will forfeit 50% of  the difference between the 2 options. 


A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to hold your spot at camp. Until this 30% deposit is made, your spot is not held. This deposit is due upon application acceptance to the camp. The remainder of the balance is due in full 60 days before the first day of camp. Payments made after the due date will incur a $50 late fee.

Camp Schedule

Camp Schedule for Boulder Camp 2024 *subject to change*

Airfare and Transportation is NOT included. Athletes need to arrive in the Boulder area Tuesday night, or Wednesday morning. Camp will start at noon Wednesday. 

Wednesday - July 17th

12-3pm: Track workout

3-4:30pm: Rest - Seminar on recovery

4:30-6pm: Easy ride, 60-75 min

6-7pm: Optional Included Dinner 

7pm: Day complete, athletes welcome to hang around for bike fitting recommendations. 2-30 min slots available each night

Thursday - July 18th

5-7am: Breakfast

7-10:00am: Ride (1.5-2 hour ride)+ Strength With Kevin Purvis 

10-11:00am: Snack break, travel to pool. 

11:00am-2:00pm: Swim Workout 

2-4:00pm: Seminar and team discussion over lunch - Seminar will be on gear recommendations

4:00-6:30pm: Run workout - Hills

6:30pm: Team dinner reservation on Pearl Street. All are welcome to join! 

Friday - July 19th

5-7am: Breakfast

7-10am: Long run. 60-100 min + strength session 

10-11:30am: Lunch and seminar

11:30-2:30: Swim workout

2:30-4:00pm: snack break

4-6:30pm: Bike ride

6:30-7:30pm: Optional Included Dinner 

7:30pm: Day complete, athletes welcome to hang around for bike fitting recommendations. 2-30 min slots available each night

Saturday - July 20th

7am-1pm: Tri Boulder Race - Boulder Res. There will be a sprint, Olympic, and 70.3 distance. There are also relay and aquabike options.  This race is the Colorado State championship. 

1-2:30pm: Lunch and Seminar

2:30-5:30pm: Optional Swim workout

5:30pm: Optional included Dinner Day complete, athletes welcome to hang around for bike fitting recommendations. 2-30 min slots available each night

Sunday - July 21st

6-8:00am: Breakfast

8-12:00am: Easy long ride as group

12-2:30pm: Lunch

2:30-5:30pm: Swim workout

5:30pm: Pack bikes

6:30pm: Optional included Dinner Day complete, athletes welcome to hang around for bike fitting recommendations. 2-30 min slots available each night
