Bike Fitting

If you are experiencing discomfort while riding your bike, you are not alone! However, you do not need to just deal with it. We can fix that. Whether you are looking to just be more comfortable, or you are looking to get the absolute most out of every pedal stroke, a comprehensive cycling analysis will enhance your ride experience.

Head Coach Branden has both Level 1 and Level 2 certifications from Cyclologic Education courses. He also has Level 1 and 2 certifications from the International Bike Fitting Institute. Branden believes in a fit first approach, and optimizing the interface between the cyclist and their bike. Focusing on the contact points of feet, saddle, and hands, we find the best blend of stability, comfort, and power production in our cycling analysis with our clients.

What to Expect From Your Professional Bike Fit

A proper bike fit isn’t just about numbers — it’s about riding stronger, faster, and pain-free. At Branden Scheel Racing, our professional bike fitting process is built for cyclists and triathletes who want real performance gains without sacrificing comfort.

Plan for approximately 3 hours from start to finish. Yes, it’s thorough. No, we won’t rush it. Your body (and your future self) will thank you.

Bring all relevant cycling equipment, including:

  • Your Bike (definitely helps to bring it, i promise)

  • Cycling kit

  • Cycling shoes

  • Socks

  • A change of clothing

  • Aero Helmet if applicable

  • ALL spare parts you have relevant to the bike you are bringing

  • Anything else that might be of use for your fitting.

Interview & Physical History (20–40 Minutes)

Every great bike fit starts with a conversation. We’ll dig into how you ride, what you’re training for, and what hurts (or used to hurt). Previous injuries, flexibility limitations, race goals, and riding style all matter. If something feels “off” on the bike, we want to know — even if you’ve just learned to live with it.

Flexibility & Range of Motion Assessment

Before touching your bike, we assess your flexibility, posture, and range of motion. This helps us build a position that works with your body, not against it. Because forcing yourself into a position you saw on Instagram is a fast track to discomfort and lost power.

Shoe & Cleat Assessment

Your feet are the foundation of your entire pedal stroke. We evaluate shoe fit and cleat placement to improve alignment, stability, and power transfer. Small adjustments here can make a massive difference.

On-Bike Video Analysis & Motion Capture

This is where the magic (and the data) happens. Using multiple camera angles, visual analysis, and motion capture technology, we evaluate your position in real time. You’ll see clear before and after footage showing changes in joint angles, stability, and efficiency. No guessing. No “this feels about right.” We measure it.

Precision Fit Adjustments

Based on everything we’ve learned, we make targeted adjustments to saddle height and position, cockpit setup, cleat alignment, and overall bike geometry. Every change has a purpose — whether that’s improved comfort, better aerodynamics, or more efficient power output.

Before & After Fit Data

You’ll receive clear before and after fit numbers so you can see exactly what changed and why it matters. It’s not just a better ride — it’s a measurable improvement.

Equipment Recommendations (Only If You Need Them)

If your current setup is limiting your fit or performance, we’ll make honest, fit-driven equipment recommendations. No upsells. No fluff. Just suggestions that actually make sense for your body and your goals.

90-Day Satisfaction Guarantee

Your fit doesn’t end when you leave the studio. Every bike fit includes a 90-day satisfaction guarantee. If something doesn’t feel right as you adapt to your new position, we’ll fine-tune it. Because the goal is long-term comfort and performance — not just a good day one. We don't want to see you posting to facebook groups asking how to fix it, we want to see you back in our studio so we can fix it together using all of the information we have gathered.
