What is a training plan?
A training plan is your roadmap to success. It takes the guesswork out of training by providing structured workouts built around your current fitness level, goals, and lifestyle. Instead of just “working out,” you’ll train with purpose—progressing step by step while balancing intensity, recovery, and consistency. Training plans put YOU in the drivers seat, so you can adjust your plan as life happens, and not need to worry about moving things around.

With a Branden Scheel Racing training plan, you’ll know:
-
What to do each day – easy, hard, recovery, or straight-up brutal.
-
Why you’re doing it – every workout has a purpose.
-
How it fits your goals – from your first 5K to a full Ironman, and everything in between.

We offer running, cycling, and triathlon training plans available for purchase through TrainingPeaks. Plans are available for all levels, from brand new athletes to high-level competitive racers, and for every major distance from 5K to Full Ironman.

Want extra support? For an additional $25/month, you can add a coach to oversee your training and provide weekly feedback to help keep you on track and progressing.

Who are training plans for?

Training plans are a great option for athletes who want structured guidance without the higher cost of full coaching. They’re perfect if you:

-
Want to keep the financial impact small while still training with a purpose. We understand triathlon is an expensive and time consuming sport! This is a great option to keep costs low, while still getting a personalized plan.
-
Are a seasoned athlete who knows how to adjust and adapt but prefers a clear outline to follow.
-
Like having daily direction—swim, bike, run, strength, recovery—while still maintaining the flexibility to move things around as needed.

Whether you’re racing your first triathlon or chasing a new PR, training plans give you the structure you need at a fraction of the cost of one-on-one coaching.
Who are training plans NOT for?
Training plans are not the best fit if you’re looking for:

-
A coach you can contact to ask questions or get feedback.
-
The ultimate coaching experience with fully customized training, adjustments, and hands-on support.
-
The team atmosphere and year-round support from team members.

If that’s what you’re after, we recommend our 1-on-1 Coaching, where you’ll get the ultimate personalized experience and ongoing support.
