The Branden Scheel Racing Athlete Scholarship Fund exists to support athletes of all ages who are passionate about running, cycling, swimming, or triathlon, but face financial barriers.
We provide coaching, equipment, race entries, and more — helping athletes train, compete, and grow, regardless of their starting point.
Why did we create the scholarship fund?
At Branden Scheel Racing, we have a deep commitment to endurance sports — running, cycling, swimming, and triathlon. This sport has given us so much: friendships, life lessons, unforgettable experiences, and a sense of community that few other activities can match.
We want to give back to the sport that has given us so much by making it more accessible to athletes of all ages and backgrounds. Through the Branden Scheel Racing Athlete Scholarship Fund, we aim to remove financial barriers so that more people can experience the joy, growth, and community that triathlon offers. Our goal is to ensure that passion and dedication, not circumstance, define who can participate, train, and thrive in this incredible sport.

Athletes are allowed to apply for 1 Equipment Scholarship and 1 Financial Scholarship per calendar year.

Applicants can only apply for one area of financial assistance per application.
Request Equipment Assistance:
To request equipment assistance, fill out the application and specify all of the equipment you need. Please be prepared going into the application with a list of items you need, and the order of importance to you.

Unfortunately at this time, contributions will not be tax deductible.

How to Apply
Athletes are allowed to apply for 1 Equipment Scholarship and 1 Financial Scholarship per calendar year.
Applications are accepted all year, with donations decided on quarterly.
Steps to Apply:

Complete the online application for whichever scholarship you are looking to apply for

Provide info about your sport, goals, financial need, and how you’d use the scholarship or donated equipment
Selection: Recipients are chosen by an internal review committee based on need, commitment, and alignment with Branden Scheel Racing values.
World Championship Slot Financial Assistance
Current Members of the team who are looking to qualify for the world championship can apply in advance for assistance with the purchase of their worlds slot. You can apply for a 3 month window leading into your potential qualifying race, so you can go into the race knowing your status of scholarship. Members can only apply for one 3 month window in each calendar year.
